Chief Obidike Chukwuebuka, a prominent member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has voiced confidence that Nigeria is moving toward becoming one of the most secure nations in Africa under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. He credits this transition to the administration’s focus on broad security reforms and strategic actions designed to counter terrorism, banditry, and kidnapping.
As the CEO of Clarivo Holdings Limited, Obidike highlighted that the government is actively overhauling the national security framework. A key component of this effort involves increasing the workforce of the Nigerian Army and the Nigeria Police Force to boost coverage in unstable regions. Furthermore, he noted that President Tinubu has shown unique political resolve regarding state policing by formally submitting a legislative proposal to the National Assembly. This move aims to localize law enforcement, improving intelligence gathering and operational response times while allowing the federal police to prioritize national security threats.
Obidike also pointed to the modernization of military equipment and better inter-agency cooperation as essential steps in the ongoing fight against crime. Finally, he lauded the administration’s support for ranching as a long-term solution to conflicts between farmers and herders. He believes these combined initiatives will establish a lasting foundation for peace across the country.
