Atiku’s Aide Asserts Trump Received Records Concerning Tinubu’s Alleged Past US Legal Issues

Paul Ibe, an aide to Atiku Abubakar, claims that US President Donald Trump has been alerted to documents allegedly linking President Bola Tinubu to heroin trafficking and a $460,000 forfeiture.

Paul Ibe, an assistant to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, stated that Donald Trump has been informed about court records involving President Bola Tinubu. Ibe shared this information on his X account this past Wednesday.

The assertion centers on a 60-page file from the US Department of Justice. These documents purportedly detail past allegations regarding heroin trafficking and the forfeiture of $460,000. Ibe claims that a lobbying group known as Batten Von facilitated the delivery of these files to the former American president.

In his social media post, Ibe insisted that the Nigerian public is entitled to full transparency regarding this situation. However, he did not present documentation to verify that Trump reviewed these records, nor did he explain if any specific steps were taken by the US administration. Ibe’s statement concluded with a vague suggestion that more information might be disclosed in the future.
