Donald Trump Unveils Limited Edition ‘Patriot Passport’ for Nation’s 250th Anniversary

Donald Trump has launched a special ‘Patriot Passport’ featuring his portrait to mark the U.S. 250th anniversary, sparking both praise and criticism.

In anticipation of America’s 250th anniversary, Donald Trump has introduced a unique commemorative passport featuring his likeness. Officially titled the “Patriot Passport,” this document includes a photo of the president at the Resolute Desk and selections from the Declaration of Independence.

Trump shared the news via Truth Social, noting the passport carries a “Welcome, but be good!” message. The booklet also showcases artwork of the 1776 signing of the Declaration of Independence, accented by American flag motifs and the text “United States of America 250.”

The Department of State confirmed that this special edition is limited and will be distributed only through in-person appointments at the Washington Passport Agency and specific nationwide events. Standard passport applications submitted via mail, online, or at traditional diplomatic facilities will continue to receive the conventional version.

The release has prompted mixed reactions. While some view the design as a celebration of national history, others have voiced concerns regarding the inclusion of the president’s personal image on an official federal document. This project is part of a broader series of initiatives launched during Trump’s second term to mark the nation’s upcoming quarter-millennium milestone.
