Super Eagles attacker Tolu Arokodare has been encouraged to look for a transfer following the recruitment of Raul Jimenez by Wolverhampton Wanderers. Analyst Chris Gallagher believes the Mexican forward’s arrival likely signals the conclusion of Arokodare’s tenure at the club.
Arokodare previously arrived at the team after a productive run in Belgium, where he recorded 23 goals and seven assists over 45 appearances. However, he struggled to maintain that level of performance during a difficult Premier League campaign that ultimately resulted in the team’s relegation to the Championship.
Writing for Football League World, Gallagher noted that the club may have failed to properly utilize the Nigerian player’s specific skills. While he might flourish in the second division, the return of Sasa Kalajdzic and the acquisition of Jimenez mean Arokodare faces stiff competition for the starting striker role. Additionally, manager Peixoto is expected to pursue his own roster preferences, further clouding the future of the Super Eagles star in Wolverhampton.
