Victor Ochei views recent NDC court ruling as fleeting hurdle

Former Delta Speaker Victor Ochei characterizes a court ruling against the NDC as a brief obstacle, pledging to seek legal recourse while urging his supporters to remain focused.

Victor Ochei, the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate for the Delta North Senatorial District, has labeled the recent Federal High Court ruling in Kogi State regarding the party’s registration as a mere momentary challenge. Speaking in Asaba on Saturday, the former Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly expressed firm belief that the legal matter will be rectified through standard judicial channels.

Ochei emphasized that historical progress for just causes often involves periods of difficulty. He publicly aligned himself with the NDC leadership’s decision to contest the court’s findings via constitutional means. Addressing his supporters in Delta North, he urged them to remain calm and steadfast, noting that his commitment to quality leadership and representation for the region remains unchanged despite the current legal uncertainty.

The candidate reiterated his trust in the Nigerian judiciary to eventually reach a favorable outcome for the party. He encouraged his associates and volunteers to continue their grassroots efforts and stay united, insisting that their collective goals of service and good governance outweigh these current obstacles.
