Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje Rejects Allegations of Criticizing Kano State Government Finances

Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has dismissed reports claiming he accused the Kano State government of financial mismanagement, calling the allegations false and promising legal action against the sources.

Former Kano State Governor and ex-APC National Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has formally refuted claims that he accused the current Kano State administration of mismanaging public resources regarding payments to former councillors. Through his Chief of Staff, Muhammad Garba, Ganduje labeled the allegations as unfounded, inaccurate, and entirely fabricated.

The official response highlighted that the reports lacked critical details, such as the timing, location, or the media outlet supposedly responsible for the interview. Ganduje asserted that he never made such statements, suggesting the report was a calculated effort to stir political discord and misrepresent his stance.

The statement emphasized that as an elder statesman, Ganduje prefers utilizing appropriate, private channels to offer counsel to government officials rather than making public accusations. Efforts are currently ongoing to uncover the origin of the false report, with plans for legal action against those responsible. Ganduje concluded by urging the public to disregard the misinformation and called upon media outlets to prioritize rigorous fact-checking when reporting on public figures.
