Senate President Godswill Akpabio recently stated that Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has achieved remarkable results that only his detractors could ignore. Speaking at the inauguration of the N16 Arterial Road and Ring Road III interchange, which connects Jahi and Gwarimpa, Akpabio lauded Wike’s ongoing performance.
This infrastructure project serves as part of the celebrations honoring President Bola Tinubu’s three years in office. Representing the President at the event, Akpabio highlighted Wike’s previous successes as Governor of Rivers State, noting that his current efforts in the capital are equally impressive. He emphasized that the FCT has undergone a significant transformation under Wike’s leadership, specifically pointing to administrative advancements like the establishment of permanent secretary roles and a dedicated Head of Service for the territory.
Akpabio further noted that FCT employees now enjoy better career progression than in previous years, crediting the synergy between Wike and the President for these institutional improvements.
