Pastor Abel Damina, leader of Power City International, has issued a direct recommendation to feminists, urging them to avoid matrimony if they are unwilling to submit to a husband. He addressed his congregation on this topic, clarifying his views on gender roles.
Damina acknowledged that feminism serves as a beneficial movement when it strives for equal opportunities for women within political, economic, and social frameworks. He noted that advocating for these rights is a positive endeavor. However, he cautioned that those who reject male authority should consider remaining single, as he believes submission is an inherent aspect of the marital commitment.
The preacher emphasized that remaining unmarried is not a moral failing. He argued that attempting to enter a marriage while opposing its structure is counterproductive. From his perspective, the concept of submission in marriage is fundamentally tied to the Christian requirement that believers first submit to the teachings of Christ.
