Members of the Edo State Security Corps recently took over ten individuals into custody for their alleged roles in multiple criminal acts across the region. Richard Balogun, the deputy operations commander for the agency, announced these arrests during a media briefing held in Benin City.
According to Balogun, the detentions took place over the preceding weekend. The offenses involved include robbery, fraudulent activities, and theft. The suspects were identified and located based on intelligence gathered by the corps, and they have reportedly admitted to participating in these illegal acts.
The security agency has since transferred the individuals to the Nigeria Police Force to conduct deeper investigations and move toward legal prosecution. Balogun reaffirmed the firm stance of the security corps against all forms of criminal behavior within Edo State.
