Analyst Criticizes Nwifuru, Claims APC Signs Are Only Evidence of Governance in Ebonyi

Pascal Oluchukwu has challenged Governor Francis Nwifuru’s re-election bid, arguing that the administration has failed to complete promised projects and that only political campaign signs suggest a government is active in Ebonyi.

Public affairs analyst Pascal Oluchukwu has publicly disagreed with Oguzor Nwali, the Ebonyi State Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, regarding Governor Francis Nwifuru’s suitability for a second term in 2027. While Nwali praised the governor’s achievements as justification for re-election, Oluchukwu argued that the administration’s record is insufficient.

In a statement released on Thursday, Oluchukwu challenged the commissioner to provide a concrete list of completed developments. He claimed that the Vanco flyover and tunnel have become unusable waterlogged areas during the rainy season. Furthermore, he alleged that critical projects, including the ICT University in Oferekpe Agbaja and various civil servant housing units, remain abandoned or unfinished despite the state receiving increased federal funding over the past three years.

Oluchukwu concluded that the ruling party’s campaign signposts, which promote an eight-year tenure, are the only tangible indicators of a functioning government in the state. He criticized the administration and its officials for expecting re-election without delivering meaningful public infrastructure.
