A man suspected of involvement in internet fraud is in police custody following the brutal murder of his girlfriend in the Edjeba neighborhood of Warri South, Delta State. Witnesses reported that the incident occurred within the suspect’s residence on Ajidi Street.
The alarm was raised by the building’s landlord, who alerted law enforcement after hearing distress cries coming from the apartment. Upon arrival, officers discovered the victim’s decapitated body and immediately apprehended the suspect. The remains have been moved to a local morgue as authorities continue their investigation.
Local residents expressed shock, noting they had seen the couple shopping for groceries just the day before. The pair were frequently spotted together in the suspect’s white Lexus SUV. Delta State Police spokesperson, SP Bright Edafe, officially confirmed the incident via a brief message to the media.
