A police representative in Pattaya confirmed the arrest occurred after the suspect was questioned regarding the girl’s disappearance and death. The man has denied any role in the incident.
Law enforcement officials are currently waiting for autopsy reports and additional forensic evidence before pressing formal accusations. Potential charges under consideration include murder, child abduction, the concealment of a body, and abduction with sexual intent.
According to news outlets, the 46-year-old man was captured at Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok on Friday while attempting to secure a flight to Perth. Surveillance recordings allegedly depict the man entering a Pattaya condominium with the teenager early Thursday morning. Hours later, he was reportedly seen leaving the premises with a large black suitcase, which he transported on a motorbike. Police located the suitcase near local train tracks on Friday, confirming that the victim inside had sustained violent injuries.
