Enugu Senator-elect Ikeje Asogwa Receives Certificate of Return, Predicts APC Dominance in 2027

Ikeje Asogwa, the senator-elect for Enugu North, received his Certificate of Return and claimed that APC development projects will lead the party to victory in the 2027 Enugu State elections.

Ikeje Asogwa, the senator-elect for Enugu North, officially received his Certificate of Return from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) this Tuesday. During the event, he voiced his conviction that the All Progressives Congress (APC) is positioned to sweep the 2027 elections throughout Enugu State.

Asogwa attributes this rising tide of support to the current development initiatives driven by President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and Governor Peter Mbah’s administration. He pointed specifically to ongoing progress in healthcare, infrastructure, and education as key factors that will solidify the party’s future electoral success. He credited the increased federal funding following the fuel subsidy removal for enabling these completed projects.

Looking ahead to his upcoming term, the senator-elect committed to focusing on youth empowerment, healthcare advancement, and educational improvements. He promised his constituents active representation that produces tangible results.

The INEC ceremony also included the issuance of certificates to several other winners from by-elections held on June 20, including Danladi Envulu-Anza for Nasarawa North, Olaka Nwogu for Rivers South-East, and Rabiu Shuaibu for the Dawakin Kudu/Warawa Federal Constituency in Kano. Supervising National Commissioner May Agbamuche-Mbu, representing the INEC Chairman, congratulated the new leaders and encouraged them to serve their constituents faithfully while praising the stakeholders for maintaining peace throughout the electoral process.
