Young supporters from Iwo, Ayedire, and Olaoluwa gathered on Saturday for a massive mobilization event to boost the candidacy of Osun State APC governorship hopeful, Bola Oyebamiji. Thousands of members marched through major districts of Iwo and Ayedire, signaling their intent to secure a victory for the party in the upcoming August 15 election.
Olaoluwa State Constituency House of Assembly candidate, Adegbile Abefe, noted that the impressive turnout serves as a testament to the youth’s trust in Oyebamiji. During his address, Abefe expressed dissatisfaction with Governor Ademola Adeleke, claiming that the current administration has neglected critical sectors like healthcare, security, and infrastructure.
The rally’s mobilization lead, Muyideen Abdulgafar, echoed these sentiments by criticizing the incumbent’s performance. He stated that the youth population in the constituency is firmly behind Oyebamiji, whom they view as the ideal leader to resolve the state’s persistent issues. Campaign council member Yakub Atanda characterized the event as a minor glimpse of the party’s actual strength, asserting that roughly 10,000 supporters participated in the display of political force.
