Atiku’s representative calls for President Tinubu’s resignation

Paul Ibe, a spokesperson for Atiku Abubakar, is calling for President Bola Tinubu’s resignation, citing a rise in insecurity and an ineffective government response.

Paul Ibe, the media adviser for Atiku Abubakar, has formally requested that President Bola Tinubu step down from his position. During an appearance on Arise Television’s Prime Time, Ibe asserted that the current administration has failed to maintain the safety and well-being of the Nigerian public.

Highlighting a decline in national safety since 2023, Ibe presented data suggesting that 879 individuals have lost their lives, while almost 300 remain held by captors. He characterized these figures as deeply concerning evidence of widespread instability.

Ibe criticized the current administration for its ineffective handling of these challenges, arguing that the nation can no longer afford an experimental governing style. He concluded by labeling the president as both ineffective and lacking the necessary strategy to manage the country’s security crisis.
