According to reports, the Nigeria Football Federation and Super Eagles coach Éric Chelle have finalized terms for a fresh contract. This deal was settled during a gathering at the National Sports Commission headquarters in Abuja this past Tuesday.
Key figures present at the session included NSC Chairman Shehu Dikko, Director-General Bukola Olopade, NFF President Ibrahim Gusau, and NFF General Secretary Dr. Mohammed Sanusi. Under the new arrangement, the 48-year-old manager will see his monthly compensation increase to $100,000, up from his previous rate of $45,000. Additionally, the federation has committed to covering the salaries for the coach’s backroom staff.
Chelle, who began his tenure with the national team in January 2025, previously steered the squad to a third-place finish at the Africa Cup of Nations held in Morocco.
