DSP Abayomi Jimoh, the command’s spokesperson, confirmed that the clash occurred when six attackers tried to seize Pastor Taiwo Taiwo, the Chairman of Ojana New Area.
Authorities were alerted to the situation around 7:05 p.m. In response, the Divisional Police Officer for Owo B Division gathered a patrol team and arrived at the pastor’s residence quickly. A firefight broke out between the officers and the armed group.
