Tottenham Hotspur have finalized a deal to recruit German international Shekiera Martinez from West Ham.
The 24-year-old forward is set to officially move to the club this June once the summer transfer window commences, following her successful tenure in the Women’s Super League.
Her exit is viewed as a significant blow for West Ham, as Martinez netted six goals during the 2025-26 WSL season and received her inaugural call-up to the German national team last October.
Expressing excitement about the move, Martinez stated that she believes this is the ideal progression for her professional development and noted her admiration for the team’s tactical vision.
Spurs manager Martin Ho highlighted that the club had been monitoring the forward for some time.
He praised her physical presence, sharp movement, and finishing ability, expressing confidence that she possesses the drive to become a key figure for the team.
Before her time at West Ham, Martinez played for Eintracht Frankfurt for several years, gaining experience in the Women’s Champions League.
After a brief loan spell at Freiburg, she returned to West Ham to score 10 league goals in just 12 matches during the latter half of the 2024-25 season.
Currently, she has earned four international caps, having debuted during the Women’s Nations League final against Spain.
