Nigerian Air Force Airstrikes Decimate Insurgent Enclaves in Sambisa Forest
On Monday, April 20, 2026, the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) successfully targeted insurgent positions located within the Sambisa Forest.
This mission, conducted as part of the broader Operation Hadin Kai initiative in the North-East, resulted in the death of numerous fighters and the demolition of essential terrorist infrastructure.
Air Commodore Edward Gabkwet, the NAF Director of Public Relations and Information, verified the operation. He noted that the precision strikes were launched after reliable intelligence confirmed enemy activity in the area.
Fighter jets were utilized to hit the targets effectively, successfully neutralizing combatants and dismantling their supply facilities.
Official reports indicate that the mission was carried out with care, ensuring there were no civilian casualties.
This strike serves as a continuation of military efforts to suppress and dismantle the operational strength of insurgent factions throughout the region.
