Super Falcons Secure CAF Women’s Team of the Year Hat-Trick
Nigeria’s national women’s team, the Super Falcons, have been recognized as the CAF Women’s National Team of the Year for an unprecedented third consecutive time, having previously won in 2023 and 2024.
The team received the prestigious honor at the award ceremony held at the Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P) in Rabat, Morocco.
The Super Falcons won the award—beating out the Black Queens of Ghana and the Atlas Lionesses of Morocco—after successfully claiming a record-extending 10th title at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in August.
This latest accolade further solidifies the Super Falcons’ dominance and unmatched consistency in African women’s football.
The President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Ibrahim Gusau, accepted the award on behalf of the squad.
