Anthony Joshua Nears Agreement to Face Jake Paul in Miami Heavyweight Showdown
Anthony Joshua is reportedly on the verge of facing Jake Paul in a major heavyweight showdown in Miami later this year.
According to The Daily Mail, negotiations between both fighters’ camps are nearing completion.
Paul was originally set to fight fellow American Gervonta Davis this Saturday, but the contest was called off after Davis faced domestic violence allegations.
The proposed Joshua–Paul fight is expected to take place on either December 9 or 12.
Joshua has not fought since suffering a fifth-round knockout loss to British opponent Daniel Dubois last year, a defeat that halted his pursuit of the heavyweight championship.
