Chiamaka Nnadozie Ranked 4th in Inaugural Women’s Yashin Trophy
Super Falcons goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie has been ranked the fourth-best goalkeeper in the world at the 2025 Ballon d’Or awards ceremony in Paris.
The Nigerian international, who plays for Paris FC, was named among the top five in the inaugural Women’s Yashin Trophy — an award created to honour the best female goalkeepers globally.
England and Chelsea star Hannah Hampton became the first-ever winner of the trophy, after a stellar year that saw her guide the Lionesses to Euro 2025 victory and lead Chelsea to a domestic treble. Germany’s Ann-Katrin Berger came second, while Spain’s Cata Coll placed third.

For Nnadozie, the recognition marks another major milestone in her rapidly growing career.
She first drew global attention during the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, where she delivered a Player of the Match performance in Nigeria’s shock win over co-hosts Australia. Since then, she has cemented her status as one of Africa’s top goalkeepers and a vital figure for both club and country.
Hampton’s triumph capped off a remarkable season, with 13 clean sheets in the Women’s Super League, a shared Golden Glove, and decisive performances during England’s European championship run.
