Plasma TV, ATM Cards Recovered as Police Crack Down on Suleja Robbery Gang
Armed robbers stormed a hotel in Madalla, Suleja, Niger State, injuring three people before fleeing with valuables, including a stolen Toyota Corolla.
According to the Niger State Police Command, the attack occurred around 2am on Sunday, September 14, 2025. Police patrol teams responded but arrived after the robbers had escaped.
Police spokesperson SP Wasiu Abiodun confirmed the incident, saying efforts are underway to apprehend the suspects and recover the stolen items.
In a separate case, police arrested four robbery suspects in Suleja following a house invasion that left one victim injured. The attack, carried out by a 10-man gang, took place on September 6, 2025. The robbers stole multiple phones, a plasma TV, solar panels, and other valuables.
Through technical intelligence, police arrested four suspects — Umar Abubakar (24), Ibrahim Lawali (18), Sirajo Musa (25), and Adamu Lawal (25). Recovered items included twelve ATM cards, two additional ATM cards found on Ibrahim, a cutlass, and the stolen plasma TV.
The suspects have been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for further investigation, while efforts continue to apprehend other gang members still at large.

“On September 6, 2025 at about 4am, information received at ‘B’ Div Suleja indicated that there was a robbery attack behind a filling station in Suleja. Police patrol team attached to the Div moved to the scene, the victim was found injured on the head and he was rushed to a nearby hospital, while the robbers escaped from the scene before Police arrival,” the statement read.
“The victim reported that the robbery gang numbering about ten invaded his house, attacked him, carted away over seven phones, one plasma TV, solar panels, and other items.
“The Police operatives commenced investigation through technical intelligence and four suspects were arrested in connection with the incident, who are; -Umar Abubakar 24yrs of Kaduna road -Ibrahim Lawali 18yrs of Madalla -Sirajo Musa 25yrs of Tipper garage, Madalla -Adamu Lawal 25yrs of Tipper garage, Madalla.
“Adamu Lawal was arrested with twelve ATM cards and claimed that he picked them at a waste dump, Sirajo Musa left his slippers at the scene, he returned to pick it up, he was identified and arrested.
“Ibrahim Lawal was found with two other ATM cards while Umar Abubakar was found with a cutlass and mentioned other members of the syndicate as Aminu, Mubarak, Small, Goje and Dan-acha. The plasma TV was also recovered from where it was abandoned.
“All suspects were transferred to SCID on 10th September, 2025 for further investigation. Efforts to arrest others is ongoing.”
