Rampage Jackson Apologizes After Son Raja Attacks Pro Wrestler Stewart Smith
Former UFC star Rampage Jackson has issued a public statement after his son, Raja Jackson, violently assaulted professional wrestler Stewart “Syko Stu” Smith during a wrestling event.
Footage from the KnokX Pro Wrestling Academy show on Saturday captured Raja storming the ring mid-match, slamming Smith to the mat before unleashing nearly two dozen punches to his face. Smith appeared to lose consciousness as blood poured from his face, remaining motionless until other wrestlers intervened. He was later hospitalized.
Addressing the incident, Rampage confirmed Smith is now “awake and stable” while admitting the altercation stemmed from a misunderstanding. He explained that Smith had struck Raja moments earlier and told him he could get “payback” in the ring.
“I thought it was part of the show,” Rampage said, describing the situation as “bad judgment and a work that went wrong.” He emphasized that Raja an MMA fighter recovering from a recent concussion “had no business being in that ring.”
“I don’t condone my son’s actions at all,” Rampage added. “As a father, I’m deeply concerned with his health and the well-being of Mr. Smith. My main concern now is that Mr. Smith makes a full recovery. I apologize on his behalf and to KnokX Pro for the situation.”
Raja Jackson later justified his actions, saying he was tired of people “playin’” with him.
