Nigeria’s D’Tigress have cemented their dominance in African women’s basketball by defeating Mali 78-64 to clinch their fifth consecutive FIBA Women’s AfroBasket title.
The victory on Sunday makes Nigeria the first team on the continent to win the championship five times in a row. It also extends their extraordinary unbeaten streak in the tournament to 29 games, a flawless run that began in 2015.
