Jeff Bezos And Lauren Sánchez Host Extravagant Yacht Party Amid Venice Protests Ahead Of Their $20M Wedding

Billionaire Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and his fiancée Lauren Sanchez have kicked off their wedding week with a lavish foam party aboard their $500 million superyacht, Koru — seemingly unfazed by the intensifying anti-capitalist protests in Venice.

While demonstrators flood the Italian city with anti-Bezos banners and vows to “block the canals,” the couple made a stop near the Croatian island of Cres to celebrate in style.

Photos from Sunday’s festivities show Bezos and Sanchez covered in foam, relaxing in swimwear among friends under the sun. Sanchez wore a black and red ombre bikini, while Bezos sported simple blue trunks.

The couple was seen hugging, laughing, and enjoying affectionate moments ahead of their upcoming nuptials.

The foam-filled bash wasn’t just a pre-wedding celebration — it also served as a birthday party for Lauren Sanchez’s 19-year-old son, Evan. A “Happy Birthday” banner could be seen aboard the yacht, with festivities including diving, paddleboarding, and boat rides to and from the shore.

Young guests enjoyed sun-drenched relaxation on loungers, and even a brief visit from a police boat didn’t disrupt the party, as officers reportedly left without incident.

Bezos and Sanchez, who got engaged over two years ago on the same yacht near Cannes, are now en route to Venice for their highly anticipated June 27 wedding. The event is expected to span a full week and cost between \$15 and \$20 million.

However, not everyone is celebrating — growing protests in Venice signal that the couple’s extravagant display isn’t sitting well with all.

Posters with slogans like “No space for Bezos” and “Veniceland: A playground fit for an oligarch” have appeared throughout Venice as backlash intensifies ahead of the billionaire’s wedding.

Local residents and activist groups are reportedly preparing targeted disruptions aimed at delaying or obstructing key events tied to the celebration.

Federica Toninello, a protest organizer, told The New York Times that her group has “moles” providing inside information on the wedding plans — including details of a major event expected to take place at Misericordia.

Her message? “Bezos will never get to the Misericordia.”

With around 200 celebrity guests anticipated — including prominent figures from the tech, fashion, and entertainment industries — Venice is set to become the focal point of global media attention in the coming days.
