‘It’s Going to Destroy Many Lives’ – Paul Okoye Warns Against Negative Social Media Use
Singer Paul Okoye, also known as Rudeboy, has voiced serious concerns about the harmful use of social media among Nigerian youths.
The Reason With Me star cautioned that those who misuse social platforms for clout are on a risky path.
He warned that this reckless behavior could lead to the downfall of many individuals.
On his Instastory, the singer wrote: “Social media is going to destroy a lot of people… You might think it’s just cruise, clout, or to trend… Your eye go clear.”
Social media usage in Nigeria is mostly unregulated, with no official body overseeing it.
Calls for regulation have emerged due to widespread issues like cyberbullying, fake news, hate speech, and defamation.
A bill aimed at regulating social media was introduced in the National Assembly but met mixed reactions, which slowed its progress. The bill also faced strong criticism on social media platforms.
