Nigerian singer Joeboy reportedly lost a N3 million bet after Arsenal defeated Real Madrid 3-0 in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League quarter-final on Tuesday night.

Hours before kick-off, the Contour crooner shared a betting slip on social media with the caption, “Cashing out on Arsenal tears tonight!”—confident Madrid would win at the Emirates.

Had the Spanish giants secured victory, Joeboy stood to win over N10.3 million. But Arsenal had other plans. Declan Rice netted two stunning free-kicks, and Mikel Merino added a third to seal a dominant win for the Gunners.

At full time, a stunned Joeboy simply tweeted, “Goodnight.”

Arsenal will aim to secure a semi-final spot when they travel to the Santiago Bernabéu for the return leg next Wednesday. Before that, Mikel Arteta’s side will face Brentford in the Premier League.
