During the operation, one bandit was neutralized, and 23 others, including 19 males and 4 females, surrendered to the troops without any resistance.

The operation followed thorough intelligence gathering, and the troops conducted a fighting patrol to the identified hideout. Upon encountering the patrol team, the bandits opened fire, triggering a swift and overwhelming response from the military.

The bandits, who originated from Plateau State, had reportedly paid a local chief in Amar village N1,500,000 to establish their camp in the area.
