2027 Election: Kebbi Governor Vows to Triple Tinubu’s 2023 Vote Count
Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State has promised increased support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general election, assuring that Tinubu will secure even more votes in Kebbi than in 2023.
The governor made this announcement on Thursday during the celebration of his administration’s second anniversary at Haliru Abdu Stadium in Birnin Kebbi.
Idris highlighted that before Tinubu’s administration, Kebbi had limited federal infrastructure and development presence. He credited the current government for initiating numerous projects across the state.
“With the emergence of the Tinubu administration, Kebbi is now witnessing a series of developmental projects,” the governor said.
He further emphasized that the people of Kebbi have every reason to back Tinubu’s re-election, given the level of federal intervention currently benefiting the state.
“We will triple the votes President Tinubu got in 2023 come 2027,” he vowed, to loud applause from attendees.
Idris also pointed out the unity within the state’s political leadership, noting, “You hardly see a state where four former and serving governors come under one roof. This clearly shows Kebbi is an APC stronghold,”
