2026 World Cup champions to be awarded exclusive championship rings

FIFA is introducing championship rings for the 2026 World Cup winners, a first for the tournament, with 30 rings going to the victors and nearly 2,000 available for fans.

For the first time in FIFA history, the victors of the 2026 World Cup will be honored with championship rings, bringing a classic American sports custom to international soccer. FIFA confirmed that the winning team of the final match between Spain and Argentina at New York New Jersey Stadium will receive these unique accessories in addition to the traditional gold medals and the tournament trophy.

To celebrate the 2026 event, 2,026 unique, numbered rings have been manufactured. The winning squad and staff will receive 30 of these, while the public can purchase the remaining 1,996 as licensed merchandise. Each item features the FIFA World Cup trophy on one side, with the opposite side tailored to represent the winning country. Every piece includes a certificate of authenticity and is custom-fitted.

While the team captain and head coach will be presented with temporary rings immediately following the July 19 final, the permanent versions will be crafted to size and delivered later. Spain and Argentina are set to compete for both the trophy and this historic new award this Sunday.
