2026 WCQ: Super Eagles Aim for First Win Against Rwanda in Kigali
The Super Eagles will aim for their first away victory against Rwanda in today’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier.
Nigeria has struggled in past encounters in Kigali, failing to secure a win in three attempts.
They drew 1-1 with Rwanda in a 2006 World Cup qualifier at the Amahoro Stadium, followed by a goalless draw in a 2013 AFCON qualifier at the Stade Regional de Nyamirambo.
Their most recent meeting in September 2024 also ended 0-0 in a 2025 AFCON qualifier. To keep their World Cup hopes alive, the Super Eagles must break this winless streak.
They currently sit fifth in Group C with three points after three draws and one defeat, while Rwanda holds second place with seven points.
