The league phase draw is set for August 27, 2026, at UEFA headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland, starting at 5pm BST. Fans can follow the proceedings through UEFA’s official digital streams. While most of the 36 spots in the league phase are occupied, the final six berths will be determined via qualifying play-offs this August.
England leads the participant list with six clubs, followed by Spain with five, and Germany, Italy, and France with four each. Notable participants include Manchester United, Aston Villa, and newcomers Como. The tournament utilizes a 36-team structure where every side plays eight matches against two teams from each seeding pot. The top eight clubs advance directly to the round of 16, while those placing ninth through 24th compete in a knockout play-off. Teams finishing 25th or lower will exit the tournament.
Action begins on September 8, 2026, and the league phase runs until January 2027. The 2027 final will take place on June 5 at the Estadio Metropolitano in Madrid, which previously hosted the 2019 final between Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur.
