Zamfara State Establishes Investigative Panel for Suspended Polytechnic Rector

The Zamfara State government has formed an eight-member committee to investigate allegations of misconduct against Dr. Sirajo Abdullahi Shinkafi, the suspended Rector of Abdu Gusau Polytechnic.

The Zamfara State administration has officially launched an eight-person committee to examine claims of severe administrative wrongdoing and insubordination involving Dr. Sirajo Abdullahi Shinkafi, the suspended Rector of Abdu Gusau Polytechnic in Talata Mafara.

Secretary to the State Government, Abubakar Mohammed Nakwada, presided over the inauguration ceremony held on Monday in Gusau. Led by Mujtaba Isah, a former Head of Service, the panel is tasked with reviewing the evidence and reporting back to the government.

During the event, Nakwada emphasized that committee members should remain unbiased and ensure all sides receive a fair hearing. He stated that the government intends to utilize the findings to bolster accountability and institutional efficiency throughout state-run higher education facilities.

Addressing the panel, Nakwada also called for full cooperation from all involved parties to assist in the inquiry. In response, Isah pledged that his team would conduct a thorough investigation, promising to maintain integrity and fairness while serving the interests of the state.
