Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, remarked on Friday that the current administration has achieved a historic milestone by commissioning 31 projects over a span of 28 days. Speaking at the opening of the rebuilt Arab/Bazango road in the Bwari Area Council, Wike stated that no prior Nigerian president has maintained such a consistent pace of project delivery.
The minister emphasized that the visible excitement among local residents reflects the tangible benefits of good governance. He noted that the newly improved road will significantly boost local commerce and daily life, replacing the previous state of the thoroughfare, which was largely inaccessible. Wike attributed this progress to the federal government’s dedication to improving the lives of citizens.
During the event, Wike provided a breakdown of road construction efforts in satellite towns. He reported that out of 317 kilometers of road contracts awarded during President Tinubu’s tenure, 221 kilometers have already been completed, with the remaining 96 kilometers currently under development.
