Timi Frank, the former Deputy National Publicity Secretary for the APC, has called on the State Security Services to cease their detention of Omoyele Sowore. Instead, he insists the agency must prioritize neutralizing the bandits and terrorists causing widespread instability throughout Nigeria.
Speaking on Tuesday in his role as the Ambassador of the United Liberation Movement for West Papua, Frank labeled the recent apprehension of Sowore as a significant embarrassment for the nation. He argued that the SSS is failing to address legitimate security concerns, choosing instead to focus on figures critical of the administration.
Frank characterized the ongoing detention as an act of political intimidation. He stated that the government’s security resources are being squandered on silencing dissent while violent armed groups continue to jeopardize the safety of citizens across the country.
