Tambuwal Asserts Atiku and ADC Pose Significant Challenge to Tinubu’s 2027 Prospects

Aminu Tambuwal claims President Tinubu is deeply unsettled by the growing influence of the ADC and Atiku Abubakar ahead of the 2027 elections.

Former Sokoto State Governor Aminu Tambuwal recently suggested that President Bola Tinubu is feeling the pressure from the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and its presidential figure, Atiku Abubakar. According to Tambuwal, the President and the All Progressives Congress have attempted to undermine the ADC, though he believes these efforts have been unsuccessful due to divine intervention.

These remarks were made as Tambuwal welcomed Isa Salihu Bashir Kalanjeni, a former Tangaza Local Government Chairman, into the ADC fold. During the event, Tambuwal characterized Tinubu as a leader nearing the end of his tenure, stating that the President is troubled by the rising prominence of the ADC and the presence of Atiku Abubakar in the political arena.

Tambuwal further criticized the current administration for its failure to adequately address national security threats and systemic challenges. He noted that while many politicians are hesitant to join the ADC due to fears of political retaliation from the ruling party, those who prioritize national interests over personal gain continue to align with the movement.
