Yoruba Nation activist Sunday Igboho has demanded that Fulani leaders in Oyo State release a kidnapped pregnant woman and her relatives within a two-hour timeframe. The victims were abducted at night in the Igboho region by suspected gunmen, who initially sought a 300 million naira ransom before lowering the figure to 150 million naira.
Igboho, an indigene of the area, insisted that the local Fulani community must handle the payment themselves, declaring that the victims would not contribute a single kobo. He warned that the ongoing kidnappings in his ancestral territory must cease immediately, accusing the perpetrators of targeting Yoruba residents while sparing their own kin. He specifically alleged that the hostages are being held at a local compound and vowed to take direct action if the captives are not returned within his specified window.
