Authorities from the Kebbi Hisbah Board, which operates under the Ministry of Religious Affairs, took 25 young people into custody in Argungu following accusations of engaging in immoral conduct.
Sirajo Kamba, the Director of Shariah, verified the development during a Saturday announcement in Birnin Kebbi provided to the News Agency of Nigeria. Kamba stated that the raid occurred on July 3, resulting in the detention of 13 women and 12 men found at the hotel.
The agency explained that this intervention serves as a component of their broader initiative to curb antisocial behavior and uphold moral standards within the state. According to Kamba, the board is currently conducting a formal investigation. Individuals determined to have violated the law will be subjected to the standard judicial process.
