Rice, Guehi, and James rejoin England squad practice before Norway quarter-final

Declan Rice, Marc Guehi, and Reece James returned to England’s training pitch Friday, boosting the squad’s preparations for their World Cup quarter-final against Norway.

England’s World Cup quarter-final prospects against Norway improved on Friday as Declan Rice, Marc Guehi, and Reece James resumed training. James, who sat out the previous three matches due to a hamstring injury, is expected to reclaim his position at right-back. This return is timely for coach Thomas Tuchel, as Jarell Quansah is unavailable for the upcoming game following a red card received during the victory over Mexico.

Both Guehi and Rice participated in the full match against Mexico but had been absent from training sessions on Wednesday. Marc Guehi is currently managing a hamstring strain while preparing for a potential matchup against his Manchester City colleague, Erling Haaland. Simultaneously, Rice is continuing his recovery from his own hamstring issue and a recent bout of illness.
