A retired Nigerian Army official lost his life and a woman was seized by armed assailants during a raid on a residential area in Nasarawa State, situated near the Federal Capital Territory. This information was shared by security analyst Zagazola Makama.
The assault took place early Friday morning, specifically at 12:45 am in the PGC Community near Jikwoyi. During the intrusion at the home of 46-year-old Silas Orite, the perpetrators took his 40-year-old spouse, Bukola Oluwatoyin Silas, to an unidentified location.
Reuben Yelwa, a 61-year-old retired Master Warrant Officer who served as the community’s chief security official, attempted to intervene. He was tragically shot and killed by the attackers. Law enforcement officials have since examined the crime scene and launched a formal investigation. Authorities are currently focusing on recovering the abducted woman and bolstering security measures to deter future violence in the region.
