The Senate of Prince Abubakar Audu University (PAAU), located in Anyigba, has officially dismissed 27 students. This action was confirmed during the 166th Regular Meeting of the Senate on July 29, 2026, following a detailed review by the Results Verification Committee.
Out of the total, 11 individuals were removed due to failing to satisfy the school’s minimum academic standards. Another 16 lost their status because they did not register for two semesters in a row, which is a breach of university policy. The students affected were enrolled in various departments, including Medicine and Surgery, Education, Social Sciences, Management Sciences, and Arts and Humanities.
Prof. Salisu Ogbo Usman, the Vice-Chancellor, praised the committee for their thorough work in upholding the institution’s integrity. He emphasized that the university is dedicated to maintaining high standards and reminded all current students to prioritize their academic duties. Those who have been withdrawn are required to return all school property, such as ID cards, to the Security Unit immediately. This notice was released by the school’s spokesperson, Mrs. Uredo Omale.
