President Tinubu Praises Wike for Spreading Development Across All FCT Districts

President Tinubu has lauded FCT Minister Nyesom Wike for successfully completing critical road projects in Gaduwa, noting that the administration is ensuring development reaches every district in the territory.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, represented by Senate President Godswill Akpabio, commended FCT Minister Nyesom Wike this Wednesday for his effective approach to governance. The praise followed the official opening of the newly completed Akinwumi Ajibola Street, which encompasses Important Local Streets 16, 18, and 19 in the Gaduwa district of Abuja.

During the event, the President described the road completion as a key achievement of his Renewed Hope Agenda. He noted that the project restores vital access for families who previously struggled to reach their homes due to the lack of motorable roads. Tinubu highlighted that his administration prioritizes tangible results and finalized construction projects over empty promises.

The President lauded Wike for transforming how infrastructure is handled in the nation’s capital. By ensuring contractors returned to work with proper funding and clear goals, Wike has effectively ended the history of stalled projects. According to Tinubu, this progress ensures that development reaches satellite areas and districts beyond just the city center.

Minister Wike confirmed that this road is the 16th project inaugurated during the administration’s 31-day celebration marking the President’s third year. He stated that the government has successfully fulfilled its promise to ensure no district is ignored, with infrastructure work now visible in areas like Jahi, Gwarimpa, and Katampe. Furthermore, Wike warned the Abuja Municipal Area Council against naming federal roads without obtaining the necessary authorization.

Minister of State for the FCT, Dr. Mariya Mahmoud, also spoke at the event, emphasizing that the project is a crucial step in enhancing mobility and economic activity for Abuja residents. She pledged that the administration will continue to prioritize development projects that raise the quality of life across the entire territory.
