PDP Hands Over Certificates of Return to 2027 Gubernatorial Candidates

The PDP officially awarded Certificates of Return to its governorship candidates in Abuja, signaling party unity and readiness for the 2027 general elections under the leadership of Kabiru Tanimu Turaki.

In preparation for the 2027 general elections, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has officially issued Certificates of Return to its governorship nominees. The ceremony took place in Abuja during a gathering of key stakeholders, including officials from the interim National Working Committee (iNWC), the Board of Trustees, and various state leaders.

Kabiru Tanimu Turaki, SAN, who leads the iNWC, conducted the proceedings. During the event, Dupe Aisida, Esq., speaking for the state chairmen, praised the iNWC for its resilience in keeping the party functional despite challenges posed by the current administration. He noted that the committee acted as a lifeline for the organization during difficult political climates.

The presentation served as the formal confirmation of the candidates’ status following the recent primary elections. Barrister Benedict Etanabene, representing the candidates, expressed confidence in the party’s legitimacy under Turaki’s leadership. He also recalled the era of former President Goodluck Jonathan as a period of significant progress for Nigeria.

Additional remarks came from the party’s Adamawa governorship candidate, Andrew, who lauded the current management. The candidates collectively pledged their continued cooperation with the party leadership to ensure electoral success at both state and national levels in the upcoming cycle.
