Bola Oyebamiji, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the August 15 Osun State governorship race, has promised to overhaul the state’s Primary Healthcare Centres (PHCs) if he wins. This commitment was highlighted during a medical outreach program in Ode-Omu, Ayedaade Local Government Area, which provided care to over 1,500 local residents. The event, initiated by Engr. Kazeem Opejin, offered blood sugar and pressure screenings, medical consultations, BMI assessments, and vision care, including the distribution of 1,000 pairs of glasses.
Representing her husband at the event, Dr. Sekinat Oyebamiji noted that strengthening local health facilities is vital for improving access to services in rural areas. She argued that the APC’s platform prioritizes health, education, and infrastructure, urging voters to support her husband’s candidacy to ensure these improvements. Opejin stated that the initiative was designed to address immediate healthcare gaps in the region. He emphasized that given Dr. Sekinat Oyebamiji’s medical background, the couple is uniquely prepared to lead significant reforms within the Osun State health sector.
