Ogun resident questions Senator Adeola regarding alleged Kemta family ties

An Ogun State resident has challenged Senator Olamilekan Adeola to provide proof of his maternal ties to Kemta and address concerns regarding his financial background and personal history.

Senator Olamilekan Adeola, widely known as Yayi, is facing renewed skepticism concerning his claimed maternal roots in Kemta, Abeokuta. This follows a recent event held in his honor which he framed as a homecoming to support his potential gubernatorial bid.

Ibrahim Afolabi, an Ogun State local, has publicly challenged the senator to clarify his lineage and the origins of his personal wealth. Afolabi argues that the recent Kemta reception lacked the participation of legitimate maternal relatives, suggesting the event was staged for political optics rather than genuine familial connection.

Specifically, Afolabi requested that the senator name his mother’s siblings in Kemta and reconcile past conflicting stories regarding his ancestry. He also pointed to alleged inconsistencies in the senator’s biographical history, including inquiries into a potential name change from Sulaiman Ogunleye to Solomon Adeola.

Beyond questions of identity, Afolabi expressed concerns about the senator’s financial background, asking for transparency regarding his professional life outside of public office. Afolabi maintained that his inquiries are not a personal attack but a necessary step for voters to hold prospective leaders accountable before the next election cycle.
