Nigerian Defence Academy notifies Kaduna community of upcoming cadet training drill

The Nigerian Defence Academy will conduct an obstacle crossing competition at its Afaka site on Saturday, involving simulated combat blasts.

The Nigerian Defence Academy has informed residents of Kaduna about an upcoming inter-company obstacle crossing competition for Short Service Cadets. The event is scheduled for this Saturday at the Afaka facility.

Maj. Reuben Kovangiya, the Academy’s Public Relations Officer, announced that the training will run from 6 am to 11 pm. This exercise, which spans both day and night, aims to evaluate how well cadets handle obstacles during combat scenarios. The public should be aware that the training will include the use of explosives.

Kovangiya urged individuals residing in the Mando, Tsamiya, Kauya, and Afaka neighborhoods to remain calm, as these activities will be restricted to the NDA Afaka site. He emphasized that comprehensive safety protocols are in place to prevent any issues and requested that local citizens and media outlets help share this notification.
