Soldiers from the Nigerian Army and members of the Katsina State Community Watch Corps successfully reclaimed a significant number of stolen livestock in the Charanchi Local Government Area. This mission was detailed by security analyst Bakatsine in an online update this Wednesday.
Personnel from the 17 Brigade, operating under Sector 2 of Operation FANSAN YAMMA, launched the mission after receiving tips from locals about criminals transporting plundered animals near Kaddanya village. The security forces established an ambush at Sabari Reraya village to intercept the suspects.
A firefight ensued when the suspects attempted to fight back. Ultimately, the security team gained the upper hand, causing the criminals to retreat into the wilderness and leave the livestock behind. Authorities are currently processing the recovered animals to facilitate their return to the original owners.
