Nigerian Air Force Operations Result in Neutralization of Numerous Terrorists in Borno

The Nigerian Air Force conducted successful precision strikes in Borno State, killing several terrorists and destroying key infrastructure.

On Friday, July 10, 2026, the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) successfully targeted a terrorist stronghold located in Yaganari, within the Gezuwa region of Borno State. The mission was executed by the Air Component of Operation Hadin Kai.

Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, the Director of Public Relations and Information for the NAF, confirmed that many militants were killed during the offensive. The military utilized intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance flights to identify enemy infrastructure and logistics centers prior to the engagement. Precision strikes followed, successfully eradicating these facilities and reducing the fighters’ operational capacity.

Air Marshal Sunday Aneke, the Chief of the Air Staff, praised the team for their disciplined performance. He emphasized that the NAF is dedicated to ongoing collaboration with ground troops to dismantle extremist networks and prevent them from regaining strength. The military maintains that these consistent air campaigns are effectively restricting the movement of hostile groups across the region.
