The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has warned that Nigeria is at risk of collapse if the current administration under President Bola Tinubu remains in power. Bolaji Abdullahi, the party’s National Publicity Secretary, expressed this view during a recent interview on Symfoni TV, arguing that the President has failed to address critical issues such as economic stability, security, and youth employment.
Abdullahi stated that citizens are enduring significant hardship while the government appears indifferent. He highlighted the daily closure of businesses and the growing frustration of entrepreneurs who feel helpless. Beyond the rising cost of living, the party official emphasized the escalating insecurity plaguing the nation. He specifically referenced the recent abduction of children in Oyo State, noting that Governor Seyi Makinde has requested an independent investigation due to suspicions of political involvement behind the incident.
Addressing the administration’s only widely cited accomplishment—the removal of the fuel subsidy—Abdullahi labeled it an impulsive move. He argued that the resulting economic catastrophe has far outweighed any perceived benefit of the policy, leaving the nation in a dire state.
